Kevin Mazurkiewicz, Editor-in-Chief Kevin Mazurkiewicz, Contributing Editor
The love for hot rods and classic cars just came natural to Kevin as he grew up in the suburbs of Denver. He used his automotive knowledge to land his first job working at a gas service station. (Back when gas stations offered repair service). Mostly self-taught, Kevin used his mechanical abilities to create a career for himself working at various automotive repair facilities and progressed through the ranks until he achieved an upper management position with the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company.

Kevin got out of the car service industry to become a graphic designer and printing broker in 1995. Recently, he combined his work experience and love for the automotive hobby and created Rod News of Southern Nevada.

Married to his wife, Jayne, for 16 years, Kevin is passing his automotive skills to his two boys. The car collection for the Mazurkiewicz household currently includes a 1970 Trans Am, a 1969 SS Camaro, and a 1933 Ford Roadster (in progress). Kevin has many more project ideas in his head but will need to get a bigger garage before they can become reality.

Len Rickards, Journalist Len Rickards, Contributing Editor
Len was born and raised in the midwest thus explaining his corn-fed outlook on life. In the mid-1980s Len and his wife Sandy pulled up the stakes on the family tent and moved to Colorado, residing there for 13 years.

A job promotion and a move to Phoenix as a Director of Marketing introduced the family to desert living. In 2003 the neon lights of Las Vegas beckoned so once again the Rickards Conestoga Wagon was loaded up.

While the Pontiac bulb on his automotive string of lights burns a little brighter than the rest, He still has 10W40 coursing through his veins. That 10W40 works in all vehicles so the next time you see a white 1970 Firebird Formula 400 parked at a local event please come over and introduce yourself. He would like to hear stories from your personal automotive archives.

Dave Wadsworth, Photographer & Webmaster Dave Wadsworth, Contributing Editor
Dave is the youngest member of the Rod News staff and as such missed the muscle car rage at its peak. As a youth in New Hampshire these cars were rusted out even before his earlier memories (but as a child of the 70s he did sport some plaid flairs with brown buckle shoes - stunning).

Maybe his nostalgia is fueled by a sense of loss. These vehicles were a rarity in the rock salt-laden roads of New Hampshire where the iron moth doomed Detroit's best. As a result, the remaining few vehicles of these glory days are to be respected - nay - revered, as are their owners that lovingly care, repair and despair over them.

Gone are the bugs, mud and snow of the northeast. He moved west for school in Tucson, then found his way to Las Vegas where he would meet his wife Joanna.

His ride is a 1965 Pontiac GTO Sport Coupe. He is an avid photographer that knows his aperture from his elbow and simply cannot take a photograph in under half an hour.
